The One True Secret To A Guaranteed Internet Business Income

Copyright © Michael Laleye
http://www.myaffiliatestarter.com/

There are many people who claim they have the secret to guaranteed internet business income. They say it is a process or system. They charge larges amounts of money for the secret or they give it away because they want the people to whom they give it to become a part of their opportunity. What they are really offering is just a chance to join their opportunity so they can make more money. Not a great secret and definitely not the one true secret to guaranteed internet business income.

The one true secret to guaranteed internet business income is attitude. Every person that has ever been successful in an online business has the same attitude. They are dedicated and passionate about their business. Without dedication and passion a person will not succeed at their business. It does not even matter how good the product is or how great the person is at selling and marketing, the bottom line is if they do not have the attitude they will not succeed.

It may be hard to believe that attitude can have such an impact on business, but it does. A person who is not dedicated to their business will allow other things to push their business to the backburner. They will have no problem letting their business suffer in favor of doing something else.
They will not be driven or determined to make their business the best that it can be. They will settle for anything. Their business will suffer from their lack of desire to make it successful. As with anything in life, if a person is not dedicated to the task they will likely not do much with it.

Passion is something that any good salesperson will say is the key to selling. At the heart of every business is something to be sold. Every good business person can sell and are passionate about their product. The reason for this is that in order for a person to buy something they have to develop an interest in it.

A salesperson that is passionate will talk about a product as if it is the most wonderful thing imaginable. They will convince people they cannot live without it, that they need it. People will then become interested and likely buy it. A business person that is not passionate about their product will find they do not end up with very customers who are passionate about it either.

Determination and passion are two of the most simple concepts, but they truly are the key to guaranteed success in creating an internet business income. These character traits are not something a person can learn, but rather are part of their state of mind about a business concept or product. When a person finds an internet business income opportunity that fires up their dedication and passion then they have found the opportunity for guaranteed success.

Learn How To Take A Day Off When Running A Home Business

Copyright © Michael Laleye
http://www.myaffiliatestarter.com/

When you are running a business, the tendency that you are going to have to fight the most is the one that tells you to work all of the time. It is a funny paradox, because a lot of the time, a person goes into their own business so that they don’t’ have to work so much, and so that they can set their own hours. This happens very often – however, when a person decides to have a home business, what happens next is that they come up with something that they love, and something that they are very passionate about. This, coupled with the fact that the business is now located in \their home or very close to their home makes lots of people feel like they should work all of the time. There is a real tendency that you have to fight to work for 24 hours a day and to never take a day off.

Good To Be A hard Worker

First of all, be proud of yourself for wanting to work so hard. If you have found something that you love to do, and you are enjoying your job, that is a great thing for you and for your future. You should feel good about that fact that your job means a lot to you, and you should feel like you have accomplished something by allowing yourself to be happy in your job.

However, you have to remember that no matter how much you like your job, and no matter how happy you are with what you are doing for a living, you simply have to take a day off now and then and you have to give yourself vacations. You might not think that they are necessary if you love your job, but if you don’t give yourself the proper amount of time off, you are going to find that you get burned out much more easily than you would normally do. No matter how much you enjoy what you do, if you don’t take a break now and then, you won’t be able to do it for very long.

The biggest thing that you have to deal with when you are taking days off from a home business is the guilt that goes along with knowing that every moment you are not in your home office, you are missing out on chances to make money and to make your business better. However, you have to remind yourself that part of the reason you are taking control of what you do is that you want to be able to have a flexible schedule. You have to work really hard at letting yourself take time off, and at being okay with that.

Five Perks to Working for Yourself

Copyright © Michael Laleye
http://www.myaffiliatestarter.com/

Working for yourself can be a big responsibility. Not everyone is up to it and it takes a lot of a hard work and dedication. You must be the kind of person that is self motivated, organized, confidant, and a self starter. Realizing that all your hard work will be put into a start up venture and you may not see a large profit the first year. With that being said there are some definite perks to working for yourself, here are five of them.

Money makes the world go around and starting your own business working for yourself means you have a greater potential to see more money then if you are working for someone else. Imagine that you work for $10 an hour. The company you work for pays $20 an hour for the cost for you to work plus materials, but the machinery you run produces $60 an hour worth of product. The company just made a profit of $30 an hour on your $10 an hour salary. As the employee you will never see that $30 profit, but as an entrepreneur you will. You will make money off of your employee’s as well just like your boss made money off of you.

Pride is another perk working for yourself will bring. You can take pride in working hard to create a business that flourishes. A business that will provide well for you and your family will bring you great joy and pride. You will also be proud that you have accomplished what many others are unable to do, and that you have your own income based on your hard work.

Flexibility is another great perk to working for yourself. You are your own boss and that means you make the schedule. You work when you need to and have time off when you need to. A really successful business has plenty of employees that work hard and the boss can take off when ever he or she needs to.

Freedom is yet another perk to being your own boss. You will have the freedom to explore the things you want to do. Turning your hobbies and the things you love into your work will make you happy and give you an income.

Family is important and being your own boss gives you the opportunity to spend more time with your family. This means you make your own schedule and if you want to go to your kid’s baseball game, soccer game or ballet recital you can be there. If you are sick you do not have to call in, because you are the boss.

Taking the leap and becoming your own boss can offer a lot to enrich your life.

Following Your Own Business Plan Can Help Keep You On Track

Copyright © Michael Laleye
http://www.myaffiliatestarter.com/

Just about every successful business started out with a viable business plan. Many succeeded because they unwaveringly stuck to that plan and others exceeded their anticipated success by tweaking the plan as time went by. While following your business plan can help keep you on track, there may be changes in areas that affect your business that will call for changes in your plan.

Consider your business plan as a road map. In the beginning you were starting at a beginning point and the plan showed the desired destination and the route you planned to take to reach that destination. Following established time lines, you were able to estimate how long it would take to get to each point on the map and by following this map you could stay on line to reach your destination in the prescribed time.

However, along the way you could run into slow traffic or a road washed out by a storm and be forced to take another direction. By looking at the map you can learn where you are and where you want to be and will need to plot different directions in order to make it to the end. If the new route is by way of small towns or areas where there are no freeways, then you may have to adjust your estimated time of arrival at your destination.

A business plan is no different from that map as unexpected things happen that may throw your business off its course and new direction will have to be plotted. Most business plans are established with time lines of one, two five, 10 and more years in advance, and usually count on the status quo to establish their goals along the way. While meeting some of the goals may be easy, unexpected hazards can crop up with plans that far ahead that will cause a need for change.

Consider the business plans of airlines following the disaster of September 11, 2001. No one in the business world could have predicted this type of occurrence and while they were closed for several days, they had to feverishly rewrite their business plans with a new starting point.

While your business plan will help keep you on track to hit specific goals, keep in mind that you plan is written on paper and not carved in stone. You have all the white out you could possibly need and shouldn’t be afraid to use it. Mistakes happen along the way in business and there will be many bumps in the road that may slow you down. Reworking your business plan as the years go on will help you meet some of your original goals as well as establish new ones.

One last thing to keep in mind is that unless you will be using your business plan to apply for a business loan it need not be so technical. Simply a clear list goals and a way to accomplish them in order to take your business to a level that you are happy with financially. Make clear statements such as " In 6 months I want to have 500 visitors a day to my websites, resulting in 20 sales daily." The next phase is how will you go about getting that many visitors? Which specific techniques will you use? based on what methods you choose to create those visitors, you can then ask yourself how long it will take to produce that amount of visitors and how much it will cost(in both time and money). These are all parts of a business plan.

At first you might not even know how much time you need to accomplish your goals. That is ok, trail and error is a factor in any business plan because it will help you to revise and your business plan in the future, so obsitcals are very positive especially if you really learn from your them and get over them.

Why Having Access To Emergency Funds Is A Must

Copyright © Michael Laleye
http://www.myaffiliatestarter.com/

Whether in business or in your personal life, having emergency funds is crucial if you want to ensure your financial health. You will be able to use this emergency fund in case an unforeseen event happen so it will ensure that you will still remain financially stable if and when these kinds of events do happen. In your personal life, the emergency fund can be used if you suddenly need to pay a huge amount of medical bills or if your car suddenly needs to be repaired. You might sometimes think that the emergency fund is not necessary because you will be able to loan from credit institutions anyway when the need arises. However, this is usually not the case since these institutions will be hesitant to lend you money if you seem to be having financial difficulty. In addition, the emergency fund will also prevent debts and interest rates from piling up so you can enjoy a stress-free life.

Meanwhile, in business, the emergency fund is used to fund different business objectives especially if the allocated fund for a particular project costs more than what is expected. In this case, the emergency fund can serve to save the company a lot of time because the manpower and the time are being used efficiently. This is unlike the case where you suddenly fell short of funds and then the business may need to borrow money from credit institutions and wait for a few weeks for its approval. And even then, there is no guarantee that the loan application will be successful so it will take a lot of time for you to finish the said project.

But with all the expenses that you need to deal with everyday, you might sometimes have a problem in setting aside a small amount to be used for emergency purposes. You should note though that even setting aside very small money during the day can add up and you will be surprised by the amount of money you have saved in your emergency fund within a few months. You can set aside this money buy learning to budget your expenses properly. There are certainly a lot of areas in your life you can save on whether in business or in your personal life. For example, simply saving the electricity will save money and you can set aside these savings to your emergency fund.

Then it is recommended that you place your emergency fund in a medium where it is easily accessible. It is important to note that emergency funds are different from investments though so you should not put this fund into investment mediums with a long term holding period. This is because the real concept to having an emergency fund is to have the money at hand you need when you need it the most.

What Is Traffic And How Can You Get Some Part 1
(c) Charlie Page

http://www.RealWorldTactics.com

When it comes to making money online there are three elements that everyone MUST have in order to succeed.

1. Something to sell
2. A website that makes the sale and collects the money
3. People coming to that site and buying

Getting items 1 and 2 set up and in place are as easy as pie. In fact, you can have these in place in the next 10 minutes by becoming an affiliate.

But it's that third element, getting REAL people to come to your site and buy something, that has most people stumped.

Getting visitors to your site is called, in Internet terms, getting traffic. And there is no other topic on which so much is written, and so much is wrong.

Being a fairly simple minded fellow, I like to keep things simple and easy to understand. In that light, here are some thoughts on understanding, and getting, traffic.

There are only two types of traffic.

1. Free Traffic
2. Paid Traffic

What this means is that you are going to have to buy traffic through either your efforts (free traffic) or your pocketbook (paid traffic)

Let's look at each and see how they work. This week we focus on free traffic.

>> Free Traffic <<

>>> SEARCH ENGINES - Often touted as the #1 way to get
free traffic, the tactic here is to get your site listed in the venerated 'top ten' search results. You can't trick the search engines, so the best way to do this is to provide content, and lots of it.

If your site is helpful to human readers you will do well. If you try and outsmart the search engines to get traffic you will go broke buying the latest and greatest thingy that simply won't work, or won't work long.

Create a CONTENT RICH site and the search engines will reward you by displaying that site when people search for the type of information you provide.

>>> FREE ADS - Free ads are a mixed blessing. They are
free, which is good. They usually don't work, which is bad.

If you can get a free ad in a place where ads are usually sold, like the free ad you get for subscribing to some ezines or classified ad sites that are visited by people, then it might be worth the time.

BUT - ad blasters and automated submitters do not work in testing and are to be avoided.

>>> ARTICLES - Without a doubt, marketing with articles
is the #1 free traffic method. You don't need to be Hemmingway to do this.

All you have to do is write a short article - about 500 words works best - that describes a problem people face and also provides ways to solve that problem.

Once your article is written, you can submit it to article directories, ezines, other website owners, and more to get the widest possible distribution.

Write and submit an article a week and very soon you will get very interested visitors who are proven to buy.

>>> VIRAL MARKETING - Viral marketing basically means
creating something of value that others can give away while making sure you benefit from it being given away.

The most common form of this is a short booklet.

Creating a viral marketing booklet is a win-win situation. You win because the links in the product are yours, so you get paid when people click. Readers win because you provide valuable information and they can give the booklet free from their website.

Create a viral report and get visitors from the links inside the report, as well as visitors who want to give the report to others.

>>> PUBLISH AN EZINE - Publishing an ezine is highly profitable and easy to do. All you need to do is gather, or write, articles about a specific subject and publish an ezine (like the one you are reading now) on a schedule. That might mean every week, or every month.

You can get great articles from all sorts of places, like article directories or ezine directories.

Publish an ezine, offer it to everyone in your address book and who visits your site, and watch your traffic grow.

>>> PUBLISH A BLOG - This is super easy today. If you have a hosting account, the chances are you have blogging software on that account free. If not, you can always use Blogger.

The basic idea here is the same as a website ... provide great content and the search engines send people.

The advantage to a blog is that you can have some interactivity by letting people comment, and you can easily structure your blog for easy reading.

Set up a blog today, provide great content, and the search engines will send traffic over time.

>>> PARTICIPATE ON FORUMS - This is an excellent, and free, way to earn while you learn. The idea here is to visit forums that are specific to your site and post questions or make comments.

This works well if you understand reciprocity and are wiling to give a bit before you receive. It does not work at all if your forum post is simply an ad in disguise.

Once forum members get to know and trust you a bit they will visit the site you list in your signature area. If you visit the forums specific to your topic of interest and get involved, you will get very targeted free traffic on a steady basis.

Other methods of getting traffic free include

* Provide endorsements
* Press releases
* Linking
* And more

You can read about most of these methods at http://www.realworldtactics.com Just look on the home page for the 'articles' link.

As you can see, there are many ways to get free traffic to your site. These methods take time that could be spent doing other things.

But if you have more time than money at this point in your life (and we've all been there) these techniques will work to get some traffic to your site.

I hope they work for you too.

Next week we are going to look at ways to get paid traffic, so stayed tuned!

Affiliate Businesses: Four Tips For Building Websites Around Affiliate Programs

Copyright © Michael Laleye
http://www.myaffiliatestarter.com/

An affiliate business program is simply a program in which you earn commissions by selling someone else’s product or service. Alternatively, you can also earn money by simply advertising for their site. If you choose to join an affiliate business program on the internet, it would be best if you had your own website, and ideally one that is conductive to selling the goods and services of your merchant partner. In other words, it must be a site that caters to a specific group of people, or a niche market. If people buy your partner’s products through your site, you will receive a percentage of the sale price.

Here are four tips on building an online presence for your affiliate business program(s):

1. Hire a professional web designer and ask to see samples of their work. You want to see currently working sites that have been put together by the outfit to ensure that you like what the finished product would look like. It is too easy to be wowed by a web designer’s low price tag only to later end up with a site that is either run of the mill - as it the case with many software programs that only offer for one or two variations on a theme - or so packed full of slow loading graphics and flash footage that some consumers who are still not up to date with computing items will be left out.

2. If you decide to go it alone, pay to have your site hosted. While a free host sounds good, your website will also become an advertising solution for the free host. Thus, you will have to display banners, ads, pop ups, and other undesirable bits and pieces in order to have that free site set up. Instead, purchase your domain name and pay for the hosting. An alternative is to create a free blog or squidoo lens which already has an organized system for you to add content and links. You can then simply drive traffic to your blog or lens.

3. Do not overproduce your site. This applies especially to first time webmasters. It is so tempting to add as many "drag and drop" elements on a site as possible. Resist the urge to have email buttons, counters, guest books, weather forecasts, map functions and other items on your site all jostled together. Instead, each page of your web site should be clear, concise, and quick loading. Furthermore, the less links you offer, the less chance there is for a broken link. Consistently stay on top of your links to make sure that customers do not get error notifications.

4. Last but not least, perhaps the most important tip on building an online presence for your affiliate business program(s) is to have content that is sticky and that will be so useful to your customers that they will either bookmark your site or come back time and again from memory. The goal is to offer unique content, articles, news, and other web content related to your affiliate programs that your clients or customers will appreciate, use, and perhaps also pass on to others.

When promoting your affiliate business program(s) you will have to have an online presence to stay competitive. Of course, building an online presence to showcase, and make money, with the affiliate programs you promote is not as easy as it sounds, and the number one mistake made by those who want to make money with affiliate programs is to do it themselves and cut costs wherever possible. This leads to a host of sites that look or feel simply unprofessional.

Sticking to a certain niche per website is an important concept to understand. Many beginners to affiliate program promotion beleive that they can just offer up any programs together on one site, drive traffic to the site, and expect money to start rolling in. But in order to get anybody to sign up or make a purchase you have to know who your audience is and cater to them specifically. There may be millions of people on the internet, but your site will not serve you and make you money if you treat it as a "catch all". Having a focus will give you a much better conversion rate than an unfocused website.

Leisure Audio books (LAB) is recently lauched affiliate program that allows you to promote a wide range of downloadable Audio books from an online store of over 6000 titles, including business, self help, fiction, health and more.

You can sign up for a Leisure Audio Books account for free by visiting http://5392.leisureaudiosales.com/

Once you have created an account, Leisure Audio books will provide you with a link which you can use to send people to your own audio bookstore for a 15% commission on all sales.

If you aren't familiar with this new affiliate program, which was launched in June 2007, read on to get all your questions about Leisure Audio books answered.

What type of products can I promote with Leisure Audio Books?
As the name suggests, the Leisure Audio Books affiliate program allows you to promote a huge range of downloadable audio books in MP3 or WMA format. Categories include arts & drama, biography, business, crimes & thrillers, fiction, foreign language study, health & recreation, history, humor, juvenile, radio shows, religion & spiritual, self help and TV & Film.

As a free Silver member you can earn 15% commission on Audio book sales. Upgrade to a Gold or Platinmum Member and that commission increases to 20% and 25% respectively. Do I need my own website?
Having your own website is always an advantage, as with any affiliate program, but it is still possible to join Leisure Audio Books if you don't have a website. You could promote it on your blog, or advertise your affiliate link in your email signature, use classified or pay per click advertising or even tell your family and friends about your store.

What help & training is available for affiliates?
The Leisure Audio books back office has an impressive range of tools to help affiliates. There is also a section on "Getting Started" explaining exactly what you need to do to promote Leisure Audio books. If you want to promote specific areas of the store e.g. business audios only or self help audios only you can easily generate links for these areas, as well as graphical and non graphical links to specific products. Overall I was very impressed with the Leisure Audio Books back office. There is a lot helpful material there for affiliates.
